What do Libertarians Believe In?

Libertarians believe in free markets and free minds. We don't believe that anyone should initiate force against another person to achieve their goals. This means that it's as wrong to take tax money from someone to fund a welfare program as it is to hold someone up at gunpoint to steal their wallet. To us, force is force, whether it's a gun or a law.

Libertarians believe government's only purpose is to protect people from violence and coercion. They value individual responsibility, and tolerate economic and social diversity.
