I want to be the next 6th District State Representative for the State of Delaware because I truly care for the concerns of the constituents of this district. During the 23 years that my opponent, Dave Ennis, has held the office he has consistently ignored the needs of the taxpayers who pay his salary. He uses his seats on the Appropriations, Economic Development Banking and Insurance, Joint Finance, Housing and Community Affairs, and Revenue and Finance committees to make sure the needs of his big industry friends are met. But what about the street lights in Bellfonte? How about the sidewalks in Edgemoor Gardens? How about the stop signs needed to slow traffic on several streets in his district?
The only thing he has done for the people in the 6th district was to create a park at Fox Point -- right next to the titanium dioxide plant that produces 39% of all the dioxin released into Delaware's environment.
Thanks a bunch, Mr. Ennis!
What I am saying is that it's time to end the all too cozy relationship between big business and even bigger government. Let's cut the state government down to a size we can manage, rather that letting it get so big it manages us.
For too long I have seen our needs neglected while pollution gets worse, and the taxpayers end up paying for the clean-up. I have seen neighborhoods lack basic services while our representative is willing to do anything for the special interest groups who lobby for favors at our expense.
It is time to make your voice heard. Send a message to those who would be lapdogs for the special interests and vote for a candidate who cares about our needs. We have rights, too! Vote for me this November 5th and send them a message!
