"I see no reason for our children not to receive the best possible education in the nation. We should not be cutting our education budget we should be focusing on financial stability within our state. I guess it's easy for many of our legislators to cut our education budget when their children are in private schools."

"I believe every child is entitled to a great education and I believe in rewarding great educators for a job well done. We must limit class sizes so as our educators can focus on their students individual needs. After all every child's needs are different. Once again a solid economy is the key. Under our current economic situation we cannot hire the proper number of educators to achieve these goals, obviously an inexcusable situation . I will fight to correct our economy and give us the much needed resources to achieve these goals. Our children are truly the leaders of tomorrow. We must afford them every chance to flourish. Our teachers can only work with the tools they are given. They should have the best possible resources available. Education is not only the key to success in business, but also in life. A well educated child is much less likely to get involved in drugs or other illegal and destructive acts. No child should ever be denied an opportunity to reach their full potential."

Tuition Assistance

Money collected for permits pursuant to my alternative smoking ban bill can be ear marked for higher learning tuition assistance programs to aid the young people of Delaware in their pursuit of knowledge.

Bottom line

"I believe in a financially stable Delaware and with that achieved we could provide the much needed funds to our schools."

"I have made it clear many times that I will not make hollow promises. I can, however, promise that once we balance our now destroyed budget, education will receive my fullest attention. I will work with educators to establish the best education system we possibly can."
