Referendum Choices

I would like to see a law requiring that any referendum offering the option to raise taxes must include equal and opposite options to reduce taxes by the same amounts, as well as an option to do nothing and maintain the status quo.

I was thinking along the same

I was thinking along the same lines, a law stating any tax proposal must be accompanied by an equal number of budget cuts to lessen the blow of that tax increase.

I was also thinking of a referendum process in general, as a way to petition laws into existence.
